13th Kildare Scout Group Clane

When we returned in September we welcomed 8 new Beavers; Colin Redmond, Eoghan Maguire, Conor McLoughlin, Louise Younge, Róisín Gorman, Gareth Cleary, Anna O’Flaherty and Caoimhe Mckenna. So far they seem to be enjoying the Beavers.

Beaver of the Month was Ciara Egan.

Our First outing was to Larch Hill in Dublin. Tuesday and Thursday Beavers joined together for this. The Scouts and Cubs were camping there for the weekend, and were there to meet us when we arrived. There was lots to do there from the Beavers Park; Bouncy Castles, Slides, Football, Pillow fights Face painting, Campfire and the Beavers all agreed that swinging on a rope across a small stream was the very best. Some made it safetly across and some did not. The Scout and Cub Leaders all prepared a lovely Barbecue for everyone, and no Beaver said ‘I do not like it’, and all was eaten. In all over 70 children from the Unit were there with 14 Leaders.

Annual Parents Night/Beaver Concert
This was on Thursday 26th May

Our annual scrap book is now completed and Beavers are busy learning their pieces for the concert.

Outing to Palmerstown
The outing to Palmerstown for bowling and play was very enjoyable. We came home 1 hour early and held our Easter party in the Den

St Patrick’s Day Parade
Our St Patrick’s Day parade head bands and streamers were very clourful and we enjoyed the Day
