Investiture of 15 New Cubs
We ended our Scouting quarter with the Investiture of 15 new cubs into the unit; smiling faces everywhere, parents and children. We had alovely sing along with one child playing the violin-very beautiful I must say. We also had recorders and a harmonica. Talent was overflowing. We finished up with a party and badge giving.
We hope to have our first outing of the year in early February . We also have a bag packing to raise much needed funds for our new Den, which we hope to occupy before the summer. Each and every member of the 13th Kildare say a big THANK YOU to Mr Brendan Keogh and his generous gift to Clane Scouts at Christmas, namely the proceeds of his Jumbo Christmas Raffle in the Corner House. They are a very short time in Clane, yet they were so generous to us. Thank you Brendan and God Bless you. We hope your new venture will be blessed with complete success. May you spend many happy years in Clane; it really is a good place to live.
Our heartsgo out to the victims of tsunami diaster, god help them, it’s just incomprehensible. May all the bad luck of the rest of their lives go with it. We hope and pray for their comfort and peace. God and St Bridgid are very good to us in Kildare. We could never imagine such a terrible event here, Let’s hope all of us will be very generous with aid them. Wednesday Cus re-open on January 12th . All sections re-open on that week.
