Cub News

Hello everyone, and welcome to summer, and a busy one it is going to be. Be fore we get to that let me, on behalf of everyone in Scouting thank everyone for your very generous support at our sale of work and Church Gate collection. As per usual Clane showed its appreciation for Scouting. A big Thank you to John and Mary Daly of Loughanure for their very generous donation to us.

Our Cub pack had a great day our with other Cub Scouts from the area in Donadea forest on Saturday the 24th of April. The event was organised by Gemma and her other helpers. The maps of Donadea forest was a great boost ans helped the Children see the vast expanse of Donadea and its great amenities.

we came back to the Den in the late afternoon for clean-up and garden planting. At 7.00pm we had a BBQ and investiture of 4 new cubs: Michael, Thomas, Tara and Ciara, by the camp fire. The weather was very good to us, with the Children playing untill nearly 10.00pm. They came in then to get ready for the sleep over. Greg warned them all to make sure they are alseep before him; otherwise no one would sleep. He wasn’t joking his snore was nearly as bad as mine,.
