On Saturday the 29th Of November 2008 the 13th Kildare scouts will celebrate 30 years of scouting Clane Co Kildare. we are planing a big Birthday party for all section in the unit Beavers Cubs Scouts and Ventures. Mass will start at 14.oo or 2.pm after that if the weather is good we will have BBQ in the camp field beside the Den.

Unlike our opening day we are hoping for the sun to shine dont mind it being cold once is dry we are also hoping for big turn out from past scout of the unit and new members looking forward to seeing you all there.

Section Leader for Friday Scouts is Greg Killoran. Assistant Leaders are Chris Mullen, and Noel Keegan.

The Venture Scouts are open under the Leadership of Ian Sinclair.

The age Groups are ass Follows Beavers 6 years olds to 8years, Cubs 8years old to 11years, Scouts 11 years old to 16 years. and Venturers 16 years to 19 years old.

Orla O’Farrell has now left our Unit and is taking a well deserved break. Bernadette Plunkette has stepped down as Leader of the Cubs. Bernie will remain with us as Chairman of the Unit Council, Pastoral Coordinator and Fundraiser and will step in when help is need in any of the Scetions.

We are having a fun day in Celbridge Co kildare on Sunday thr 28th of September 2008. We will join up with other Cubs and Beavers from our scouting County for a full days of fun and  games. we meet at the DEN at 10.30 for the bus and hope to be back at the DEN at 4.30

The 13th Kildare Scout Troop would like to Welcome our new Section leader for Wednesday Night Cub’s.

As you may be aware Bernadette Plunkett has stood down as section leader of Wednesdays Cub’s.

Our new leader is Mrs Patricia Mooney who has now taken over as Section leader.

Bernie has not left the unit and will continue working behind the scenes Regarding Scouting in Clane and for our unit the 13th Kildare scout as a hole.
